We , the free software activists were happy about the policy. We
believed everything will change if policy is changed.
But We failed in pushing Govt to create a strong implementation plan in
time. I feel this is an after effect of it.

We dont need to consider Current IT Policy as a gift from government. It
is the realisation of the demands of Free Software movement, with other
progressive forces in the state. If a policy is in place we need to
claim it all the time. It we fails in claimming it proprietary people
will enter into that space.

I feel the same about recent malayalam project too. A free software
policy is in place in state. but this project uses proprietary platforms
along with free software platforms. It is a failure of all of us. little
compromises for reduces the political space of demanding the strict
implementation of policy.

Also I am amazed to see the absence of voice from KSTA against the
decision to use proprietary software for e-governance data entry work,
which is not at all a teachers work. If free software supporters in KSTA
is silent, we must plan to something to make them active again
