The word order in English and Malayalam are different. Therefore, when
we translate from one language to the other, we will often have to put
the idea the other way round. For instance, if we have the sentence "I
could not go because it was raining", we translate it as "മഴ പെയ്തതു
കൊണ്ട് എനിക്ക് പോകാന്‍ പറ്റിയില്ല" where we start with the reason
"because it was raining". This is a mistake (though not a serious one)
that many Malayalees make when speaking because we tend to translate
even while speaking. I found a similar problem in one of the files
(phonon-xine.po); that is why I am writing in detail. "use a single
sample to smooth the variations via the standard weighted mean over past
samples" എന്നതിനെ "ഒരൊറ്റ സാമ്പിള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കുക മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍
(വേരിയേഷന്സ്) സ്മൂത് ആക്കുവാന്, സ്റ്റാന്റര്‍ഡ് വെയ്റ്റ്ഡ് മീന്‍ വഴി,പഴയ
സാമ്പിളുകളുടെ മുകളിലൂട" എന്നാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇവിടെ ആശയങ്ങള്‍ നേരെ
തിരിച്ചിട്ടാല്‍ വാചകം ഏതാണ്ട് ശരിയാകും. "പഴയ സാമ്പിളുകളുടെ
സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡാര്‍ഡ് വെയ്റ്റ്ഡ് മീന്‍ വഴി ഒറ്റ സാമ്പിള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ച്
മാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ (വേരിയേഷന്സ്) സ്മൂത് ആക്കുക" എന്നതാവും കുറേക്കൂടി ശരി
അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ ഭംഗി. ഇനി മീന്‍ (മത്സ്യം ?) എന്നതിനു പകരം ശരാശരി
എന്നുപയോഗിച്ചുകൂടെ?
