Dear Friends,

I got this request from Dr. Savitri Singh, Principal, Acharya Narendra Dev
College, Delhi University. She is also co-ordinating the Wikieducator
project
for India and is looking for people who can translate the intro page, to
begin with, in Indian languages. Please see the following mail for details.
Please do respond if you have time, energy and inclination. We do not have
much time as the site is being launched on 15th, I think. The translation
for
Hindi and Malyalam are already done, so volunteers wanted for Oriya,
Gujarati, and Bangla - there is some money as well. Please do get in touch
with her, if you feel upto it, and if you want your language to be added to
the project.

I urgently need the India page of Wikieducator translated into some Indian
languages : http://wikieducator.org/India . By looking at the malayalam page
(link on top) you can possibly understand what I mean.  If you are able to
find someone who will help translate this then I can copy this to a new page
and the person needs only to replace the text (content) leaving all the
syntax intact.   In case someone agrees I can create a new page where s/he
can do the replacement.   I would need to get this done latest by Tuesday.

I am hoping you'll be able find someone to do this.  As you can see from the
India page we are planning a WE launch in India, but have been able get only
three languages committed - malayalam, Hindi and Kannada. Am trying for
bengali and gujarati.  Would want atleast two more to make it
representative.  Pl do help.  Some small monetary compensation would be
provided.
