A few first hand opinions:

1. Superb boot time - I booted in 18 seconds flat. Shutdown time 14
seconds. General responsiveness is also much better.
2. Support for fingerprint readers - you should now be able to login
with a swipe of finger
3. Kernel Mode Setting is enabled by default on Intel video cards -
works without a glitch, and better X.org performance
4. Ext4 as default file system
5. Malayalam rendering as good as F10, Meera being default font.
6. Release notes in Malayalam
