I was asking about these:
> database Freedict-English-Malayalam  {data

Also, how come you have two entries in the conf file with the same
database name? Can you remove the above entry, and  keep only the
following:

database Freedict-English-Malayalam  {
        data  “/usr/share/dictd/dict-freedict-eng-mal.dict.dz”
        index “/usr/share/dictd/dict-freedict-eng-mal.index”
}

And restart the dictd server?
