I have a couple of suggestions.

- making it imperative that anyone who wants to present on behalf
of/for SMC at any event should [1] send in a notice prior to the event
and, [2] follow-up report post the event to a catch-all email address

- specifically mentioning on the SMC site about email alias/person to
contact for PR/presentation. This might ideally be right below where
it explains what SMC is about.

- maintaining a page with some press quotes from SMC members on
various current issues which can be re-used by the media to handle
SMC's views on them
