No one seems to be responding to this thread lately. Shouldn't we make a
formal move to start a free alternative for Unicode? I mean, shouldn't we
make a formal proposal to the Free Software Foundation to start a new
project for making a free alternative for Unicode?

As Asians/Indians/Malayalis, we need not suggest Anglo-Saxon names. An Asian
name like "ഒരുകോഡ്" (Orucode) serves as a message.
