[smc-discuss] ചില്ലക്ഷരങ്ങളുടെ രാഷ്ട്രീയം

Unicode, Ascii and even Qwerty (in 19th century) were developed by
corporates or their consortia in USA. We (people who believe in freedom)
should develop better standards for those things which require
standardisation. When Indian government tried to come up with some standard
for Indian scripts, it piggybacked on ASCII, in the name of ISCII.

Only if we develop something, can we develop that optimised for our uses.
For this, wouldn't it be a good idea if FSF comes up with a better standard?
