Hi Friends,
This is a technical doubt, and not about any licensing.

Why doesn't the free software community use something like JXOS
(http://www.jxos.org/) <http://www.jxos.org/>, and still continue to use
traditional systems like GNU/Linux and Android/Linux? Microsoft camp has
similarly not started using Singularity
(http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/singularity/)<http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/projects/singularity/>.
So, is the whole software ecosystem - both free and proprietary - sticking
on to the old technologies just for backward compatibility?
