[smc-discuss] how to search unicode string in a text stored in mysql db?

Hi, I've stored some malayalam text inside mysql database. I've tried 
searching it with this query; SELECT * FROM `article-data` WHERE 
article_title LIKE'%53;്&#335&'; and it returned, nothing found. 
Actually, thats not true. Which is the best method to store malayalam 
text into database and retrieve it? Please help me..
