[smc-discuss] how to enable typing in malayalam in debian 8 with gnome

Please check whether these packages are installed
ibus
ibus-gtk
ibus-gtk3
im-config
ibus-m17n
m17n-db
ibus-qt4
and all the dependencies

then add Malayalam inscript (or other im) in the keyboard input sources.
Change between languages & input methods thru Start+space
Ibus icon will not be displayed in Debian8 Gnome3, only language codes are
visible, like en / ml
