ചുരുക്കി പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ ഫോണ്ടുകളുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ആര്‍ക്കൊക്കെ ഏതിലൊക്കെ
കോപ്പിറൈറ്റ് ഉള്ള ഓതര്‍ ആയി വരും, ആരൊക്കെ കോണ്ട്രിബ്യൂട്ടര്‍സ്
മാത്രമായിരിക്കും എന്നുള്ളത് കുറച്ച് കുഴങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്ന ചോദ്യമാണ്. അത്
ശരിക്കും അന്വേഷിച്ച് സംസാരിച്ച് തീര്‍ക്കുക തന്നെ വേണ്ടി വരും. കാരണം:

Derivative work has to retain original copyright. But the question here is
how to determine what is derivative work vs what is original work when so
much of original work has been done together by multiple people and then so
much new work has been done by the same original authors separately. I
think no matter how much energy is put into finding an answer here, we
won't have a clear answer. One way out would be some kind of a settlement
between the original authors and I believe that should include giving
copyright to everyone who has put substantial work in each font and giving
credit to everyone else who has contributed by acknowledging them as
contributors. If the people involved are not able to settle it between
themselves (which is probably the case from how it looks), as a community,
we should help them reach that agreement.
