I dont think you can upgrade an ubuntu installation from the live cd. Dist upgrade is only possible from the alternate cd i think. Also before upgrading from CD your system needs to have all updates till date installed. Otherwise chances of the upgrade process screwing up your system is really high.<br clear="all">
