If you mean writing unit tests, I've been writing some. Varnam is using the checks c library. But it would be really great if someone could test the current algorithm for some simple Hindi words. I can barely read Hindi, and cannot understand what little I manage to read :)

Testing is just defining what is the expected output for known inputs and then validating them. :) You could automate it if needed. Don't worry about "production", just detail what needs to be done, and we'll get it done.
