Praveen,
can you tell me what is the output of this command in your system?
pango-querymodules --version

For best malayalam rendering, we need to apply "suruma" patch on the
pango rendering engine. For that we need to know the version of pango
in your machine.
I guess it is 1.4 version and it is too old.

Any particular  reason to use that version of GNU/Linux? Otherwise it
is better to use new versions of Fedora or Debian.
Malayalam support is bad in Old versions of GNU/Linux. We are trying
to improve it in the new versions..
