Anivar,

1. I uninstalled ttf-freefont?
    Before uninstalling, both GEdit and Firefox was rendering in a
wrong way.
    After uninstalling GEdit started working fine, but not the fire
fox.
2. Firefox started working properly only after renaming the .mozilla
to mo.zilla
