Select Rachana_g02 or Meera_g02 as the default font .

Step is as follows
  Firefox->edit-> Preferences ->
select content tab-> click on advanced -> select fonts for Malayalam and 
change serif & sans-serif as  Rachana-g02 or meera-g02

Also You can use swathnathra malayalam computing  Packages at 
http://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/smc/
