[smc-discuss] couldn't see malayalam fonts in font viewer or gedit

I have downloaded some fonts from
 http://groups.google.com/group/smc-discuss/browse_thread/thread/8513a44660e66dab/dd9ed52da28b386c?#dd9ed52da28b386c
in that i downloaded the renewed font..The raghufont and suruma font
in that shows some square bracket only...i have installed the language
in ubuntu 9.04 from system>admin>language and add malayalam. Still its
not working with gedit and font viewer. I could copy past malayalam
letter, but could not write any....

Can any one help me in solving this
