Swathanthra Malayalam Computing Maintains ttf-malayalam-fonts package
in Debian/ubuntu & derivatives . and smc-fonts package in Fedora &
derivatives. These contains Rachana, Meera, Dyuthi, Suruma, AnjaliOldlipi,
Raghu-malayalam, & Kalyani

If you have any bugs/wishlist bugs/patches  submit it to upstream bug
tracking page at http://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?group=smc . If it is
distro specific, submit it on bugtracker of respective GNU/Linux
distribution. That is the way in which foss development model works .

On the listed fonts ML-Nila by CDIT is a proprietary font as of now.
If you are ready  to Free license it, SMC will be happy to provide
help in licensing, maintaining & packaging it for FOSS distributions.
