[smc-discuss] Facebook Manipulating Users' Newsfeeds

I think people are under the impression that social networks like Facebook
are essential.

I was an active user once and I deleted my account one day . Nothing
changed. Google+ , twitter, whatsapp.  Nothing changed . I still keep in
touch with the same people I used to keep in touch with . I use TextSecure
wherever possible, an XMPP server otherwise. Email, phone calls and SMS are
still very viable media.

I am not saying go retro. I am saying you have a choice .

Facebook and Twitter are not public service companies. You choose to use
them .
