Hi,

Praveen I have cooked up a patch for epiphany which uses duckduckgo as
the default search engine.
The patch is attached with this mail as a .path file. Kindly apply it
using the "patch" command.
Bellow are some details which will aid you in applying/compiling the
source code.

Code Version : 3.2.1
Please do not use the git version. I wasted an hour trying to compile
it, but gave up as it needs glib3.0 + which is currently not in debian
testing.
apt-get source epiphany-browser
should do the trick.

After downloading the source try to configure it using ./configure (no
need to run autogen.sh as the configure file will already be there
thanks to the Debian pkg team).
At this stage I got a couple of missing packages error. The
dependencies in no particular order are -
epiphany-browser-dev
gtk-doc-tools
libgnome-keyring-dev
libsoup-gnome2.4-dev
libnotify-dev
libnss3-dev (This lib is what does the URL parsing, so we must thank
this else the patch will not work :) )

Try run "make" after the dependencies are resolved followed by a "make
install". Test to see if it running.

Apply the patch on the embed/ephy-web-view.c file.

make & make install

Try running the application now. It should search on duckduckgo.com by
default now.

Please post any other dependencies on this thread so others can find
the process easy.

** No responsibilities for breaking you browser, though it will not happen.

Thank You,
